Project Borderless

A “borderless” elementary school catchment area scenario

This three-elementary school district in Pennsylvania was consolidating down to two

schools.

The only way they could ensure that all of the students would be able to fit in the remaining two schools, within existing class size guidelines, was through the use of our dynamic new student assignment program.

All of the students requiring transportation would be bused to their closest school. The walking students in the “frontier” regions between the schools would have prioritized assignments based on elder sibling attendance, special education needs, and their walking distances in order to level the kindergarten class sizes.

District leadership was also curious to see where the students lived who did not attend their traditional public schools so for no additional cost those were developed as well.
